Parent Service Agreement
Last updated August 24, 2026
This is the agreement between your family and Moore Prep LLC for tutoring sessions. We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything here is unclear, ask before you book — we would rather explain it now than surprise you later.
1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between Moore Prep LLC (“Moore Prep,” “we,” “us”), operating at Hatch Coworking, 112 E Roosevelt Ave, Wake Forest, NC 27587, and the parent or legal guardian (“you”) who books sessions for a child (“your child”). By requesting a session, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and are authorized to enter into this agreement on their behalf.
2. What we provide
Moore Prep provides one-to-one academic tutoring, homework assistance, and Pre-K readiness instruction, taught by Lana Millard. Sessions take place at Hatch Coworking in downtown Wake Forest unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Moore Prep is not a school, a licensed childcare or daycare facility, a special education provider, or a licensed therapy practice. We do not diagnose learning disabilities or conditions of any kind, we do not provide speech, occupational, behavioral, or psychological therapy, and our work does not replace any services your child receives through their school or a licensed professional. We are happy to work alongside those services when you ask us to.
3. Booking and confirmation
You request a session by submitting three preferred times. A request is not a booking. Lana Millard reviews the request and confirms one of your choices, proposes an alternative, or declines if nothing fits. A session is only booked once you receive a written confirmation from us.
Requests need at least 24 hours' notice. If a confirmed session requires payment, the reserved time is held for 24 hours; if payment is not completed within that window, the time is released to other families.
4. Fees and prepaid sessions
- 30 minutes: $30 per session
- 60 minutes: $60 per session
- Prepaid bundles are available at a reduced per-session rate. Current pricing is always shown on our pricing page.
Prepaid sessions are credited to your account and may be booked for any of your children. They are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, are not transferable to another family, and have no cash value except as described in our cancellation and refund policy.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
5. Cancellations, rescheduling, and missed sessions
- Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before a session and it returns to your balance automatically.
- Inside 24 hours, the session is normally forfeited. Contact us anyway — illness and emergencies happen, and Lana Millard may return the session at her discretion.
- If your child does not arrive and we have not heard from you, the session is forfeited after 15 minutes.
- If your child arrives late, the session still ends at its scheduled time so the next family is not delayed.
- If we cancel a session for any reason, the session returns to your balance in full, or is refunded if you prefer.
The full policy, including bundle refunds, is on the cancellation and refund page.
6. Supervision, drop-off, and pickup
Hatch Coworking is a shared workspace, not a childcare facility. A parent or guardian must remain on site for the duration of every session and be immediately reachable. We cannot supervise your child before or after their session time.
You agree to give us the name and phone number of at least one emergency contact, and to tell us about any allergies, medical conditions, or accommodations that affect your child during a session. We do not administer medication of any kind.
7. Behavior and safety
Sessions work best when children feel calm and safe. If a child is repeatedly unable to participate safely, or if their behavior puts themselves, other people, or the space at risk, we may end a session early or decline future bookings. If we end a session early for safety reasons, we will talk with you about the right next step, which may include returning the session to your balance.
As an educator, Lana Millard is required by North Carolina law to report a reasonable suspicion of child abuse, neglect, or dependency to the appropriate county authorities. This obligation exists regardless of anything else in this agreement.
8. Illness
Please keep your child home if they have had a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea in the previous 24 hours, or if they have any contagious condition. Tell us as soon as you can and we will treat it as a late cancellation with the session returned to your balance.
9. Photos and video
We never photograph or record your child without your written permission. If you give permission, you may withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will stop using new material and remove existing material from our website and social media as soon as we reasonably can.
10. Your child's information
We keep notes about your child's progress so sessions build on one another. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with anyone outside Moore Prep except when you ask us to (for example, to share progress with a classroom teacher) or when the law requires it. Our full privacy policy explains what we collect and how long we keep it.
11. No guarantee of results
Children learn at their own pace, and progress depends on many things outside a tutoring session — sleep, school, home practice, and time. We commit to careful, patient, individualized instruction. We cannot and do not guarantee any particular grade, test score, reading level, or academic outcome.
12. Liability
You acknowledge that ordinary activities during a tutoring session carry ordinary risks. To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law, Moore Prep LLC's total liability arising out of or relating to this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us for the sessions giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in this section limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited under North Carolina law.
13. Ending this agreement
Either of us may stop scheduling sessions at any time, for any reason. If you end the arrangement, any unused prepaid sessions are handled under our refund policy. If we end it, we will refund unused prepaid sessions in full.
14. Changes to this agreement
If we change this agreement, the updated version is posted here with a new “last updated” date, and it applies to sessions booked after that date. Sessions already confirmed keep the terms that were in effect when you booked them.
15. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.
16. Agreeing to these terms
Checking the acceptance box when you request a session, or booking a session through your account, means you have read and agree to this agreement. If you would like a countersigned paper copy for your records, email [email protected] and we will send one.
